Kitchendecor Finished Up The Salt Cellar Last Night This Is The Last Of The Kitchen Themed Gifts For The Holidays The Cellar Is Made Of Beli With A Pink Ivory On Set Into The Lid I First

Finished up the salt cellar last night. This is the last of the kitchen themed gifts for the holidays. The cellar is made of Beli with a Pink Ivory button set into the lid. I first planned to turn this into a bowl so I had to fill the hole I drilled for the worm screw in the lathe chuck. Since a dark wood wouldnu2019t make sense for a salt cellar I wanted something lighter. Maple would have been good but too plain. Himalayan pink salt is in so Pink Ivory was the winner.     But what did you use for the spin open lid?!?

    @pklumber there is a brass screw loosely driven in through the lid. There is a finish washer to make it look better. I could have countersunk the screw but I prefer the finish washers.
